Founder, Breaking Free Supportive Housing Program

Melanie Burrows

Melanie is a passionate advocate for recovery and transformation, dedicated to helping individuals break free from the grips of addiction. A recovering addict herself, Melanie's journey to sobriety began on December 30, 2008, when she found the support and guidance needed to reclaim her life without alcohol and drugs.

Through her own experiences, Melanie learned the importance of community and support in the recovery process. Motivated by her desire to give back, she founded Breaking Free Supportive Housing Program, a safe haven for those seeking to overcome addiction and rebuild their lives. Her mission is to empower others on their journey to recovery, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement to become productive members of society once again.

With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in recovery, Melanie works tirelessly to create a nurturing environment where residents can find hope, healing, and the tools necessary for lasting change. She believes that everyone deserves a second chance and that breaking free from addiction is one of the greatest achievements one can attain.

In her free time, Melanie enjoys hanging out with her granddaughters and relaxing with her husband on a cruise, seeing the world one ship at a time, which helps her maintain a balanced and fulfilling life. Through her commitment to helping others, Melanie exemplifies the transformative power of recovery and the possibility of a brighter future.
